A Day In The Life Marathon Training
I have been training for a marathon for almost 5 months. Therefore I think I’ve got the training and work life balance pretty dialed in to what works for me. I’ve also noticed patterns in my eating and what makes me feel good.
The following is a documented day in the life including running, work, meals and other training:
6:30-8:30AM: 12 mile run w/ 6 miles @MP
Breakfast: Grape Nuts cereal with banana and peanut butter, apple on the side
Work at CTB Fresh 10AM-6:30PM
Lunch at about 1:00PM: eggs, pesto and veggies on a cheddar chive biscuit, small soup on the side
Snack at 4:00PM: Kodiak Cakes pancake cup with banana and PB
6:30-7:30PM: mobility drills, core work and light biking at Island Health and Fitness
8:00PM Dinner: kale salad with feta cheese, edamame, onions, tomatoes, potatoes and olives, chips on the side
9:30PM: snack of yogurt, protein powder, and almond butter
10:15PM: BED TIME!
It ain’t glamorous, but it’s me.
